The performance of EndoTherm was piloted by the University of Northampton at the Newton Building.
The site is heated by two 250kW boilers. EndoTherm was installed in January 2018.
The Newton Building is a Grade II Listed Building which holds historical and architectural significance. Preserving the building’s original features and maintaining its heritage value is crucial. Any energy-saving measures must be carefully implemented to avoid damaging or altering the building’s historic fabric or appearance. EndoTherm requires no changes to the buildings fabric or appearance, it is simply installed into the heating system fluid already in use.
Historic buildings often have unique architectural elements, such as ornate windows, decorative facades, or intricate roofing, which can pose challenges for improving space heating energy consumption. EndoTherm delivered savings without the need to upgrade the building envelope to reduce heat loss.
